Clove Earring

NZ$3,500.00

Made to Order

This one's a little different.
I took a more literal route. In South Asian cultures young green cloves are placed in newly pierced ears for their natural healing qualities. In Sinhala (Sri Lanka) cloves are called karābu nāṭi (කරාබු නැටි). Karābu meaning earring, nāṭi meaning stem.

A parallel too beautiful not to bring to life. It took years to get the weight and balance right. It's now the most comfortable pair of earrings I own.

Made for food lovers. Worn like the real thing.

Finish: Stem in sterling silver, bulb in 9k gold.
Weight: 3 grams each.
Measurement: 1.8cm height, 1.8cm width at the widest point.
Wear: Secured with a 925 sterling silver thread post. The screw back doubling as the clove's stem. Perfectly balanced, and made to sit comfortably all day and night.
